Dial M for Mila

In this shoot by Robert Erdmann for Glamour UK's September 2011 issue, Mila Kunis plays a Sixties inspired sex kitten. Bedroom eyes and a Bardot-esque half-up do make the already gorgeous Mila even more seductive.

Glitter Moon Mani

I am not really the biggest fan of the traditional pink and white French manicure, so I like to put my own spin on it. A reverse French with accented moons at the bottom is always a nice alternative, and no more difficult to create.

You will need:
-French manicure strips (available at any drugstore)
-Two (or one) nail polish colours
-Clear nail topcoat

Step 1: Paint your nails any color, you can even skip this step and leave them with out polish if you like. I chose to use pink, because I am a sucker for it.
Step 2: Use French manicure strip and stick them a little bit above the bottom of your nails.
Step 3: Paint below the stickers with a second polish color. Maybe some glitter? Then let them dry for about five minutes before removing the stickers.
Step 4: Paint a clear top coat over top over your nails, and let it dry. Ta-da! Now you have pretty nails. Time to paint the town.

Pretty in Pink

Battle of the Brows

There has been a focus on brows lately in beauty and fashion.  Two trends have been emerging and it’s time for a faceoff. Bold brows and bleached brows are going head to head.

Bold brows

The look: Thick, structured full and dark.
Brow ambassadors: Keira Knightly, Ali Micheals and Bambi Northwood-Blyth.
Spotted on the runways of: Oscar de la Renta, Alexander Wang and Jean Paul Gaultier.

How to: For this look you need to put down the tweezers and let your brows grow in fully. Use a brow brush to fluff them up.  Next, meet your new best friends: brow enhancers. Brow pencils and powders will help you to fill in any sparse patches and give you a full and healthy looking brow.

Bonus: Thicker eye brows make you look younger, and this look generally works well on everyone.

Bleached brows

The look: High fashion, barley there and colorless.
Brow ambassadors: Lara stone, Daphne Groeneveld and Claudia Schiffer.
Spotted on the runways of: Jason Wu, Vera Wang and Giles.

How to: Make a trip to the salon and get your eyebrows professionally bleached if you want to make it permanent. If not, start by combing through your eye brows to flatten them. Next, take a makeup primer and cover them with it, smoothing them down. After that, apply cream foundation to mask them. Complete the look by dusting your brows with a setting powder.

Bonus: This beauty trend really only looks good on models. If you can rock it, maybe you should consider signing with an agency.

Light Bright

This is a beautiful editorial photographed Paul de Luna for Blank Magazine, from the August 2011 issue. The model, Daria Zhemkova looks so ethereal and effortless. Like some kind of sea nymph who was born from the depths of the ocean, wearing Stella McCartney and Lanvin. The colourless wardrobe foreshadows the up and coming trend of winter whites, and is complimented by her fresh and minimal makeup. The glowing pale purple highlighting the inner corners of Daria's eyes make her look even more angelic.

Amazing Face

Magdalena has been everywhere lately from the runways of countless top designers, to editorials and ad campaigns. She is only 25 years old, but this beauty has already been on the covers of Italian Vogue, Numéro, Dazed & Confused and Muse. Her sculpted cheekbones, wide-set eyes and pout make her impossible to look away from. Here's hoping we see more of this stunner in the S/S shows this September.
